Meet Joe Black was adopted on July 1, 2020 by HERD volunteer Bill McClelland. He has been spoiling Joe for a few weeks since his arrival, getting to know him and taking him out for rides on the ranch. Bill has been searching for a handsome trail partner and he finally found a perfect fit. Joe was saved from a kill pen in Louisiana and took an instant liking to Bill, following him around the pasture. When he is not grooming and feeding Joe, Bill is building fences and run-in sheds, hanging water buckets and mucking stalls. He is one hardworking fellow here in our rescue.
